Angle Workplane — working at the desired angle

Set the construction direction along the wall and align the view with one click. The script uses a temporary hidden Grid. It is removed upon exit.

FEATURES
• Angle manually or by two points.
• Origin and height of the workplane.
• Movement along the specified direction.
• Rotation of the top view to the wall angle and return to World Top.
• Switching modes in one window.
• Regular button on the toolbar.

EXAMPLE
Set the wall direction to, for example, 25°, activate the workplane and click Align view to wall angle. The wall will be positioned horizontally on the screen, and objects can be constructed in the corresponding direction.

INSTALLATION
Drag Angle_Workplane_Install.ms into the viewport. Customize > Customize User Interface > Toolbars > My Tools > Angle Workplane. Drag the command to the panel.

NOTE
Work is carried out in the horizontal XY plane. Aligning the view switches Perspective to orthographic view and does not retain the previous angle. Verified in 3ds Max 2023, 2026, and 2027.
