Toulon chair has a smooth shape. The rounded back is integral with the armrests, which slowly descend to the seat. The back is quite strong and elastic, but not rigid, but very soft, it is comfortable and pleasant to lean on it. When designing the back of the chair, the optimum height was chosen for maximum sitting comfort.
