Architects Alessandro Mattei and Katerina Nagleri from the Italian studio Plato Design created a collection of concrete and wooden magnetic lamps TWELVE, which can be used individually or in combination to make a large sculptural composition.

The collection, which includes both desktop and pendant lamps made of concrete or wood, is named after its dodecahedron shape, which was achieved by repeating the polyhedral shape.

This lighting system uses magnets to combine several lamps into groups

Each individual lamp has magnets on the sides of each module that allow the lamp to be connected to another lamp or to shelves, refrigerators or a magnetic surface. Another advantage of magnets is that once the lamps are connected together, they can be rotated to direct light according to need.
