Description:
This script adds a new Holy3DSphere primitive to the Command Panel -> Create -> Geometry -> Standard Primitives category. It allows you to create a mathematically accurate Quad-sphere (a sphere of quadrilaterals), optimized for future use with SubDivision modifiers (TurboSmooth/OpenSubdiv).
Key features:
Perfect geometry after SubDivision: Thanks to the use of mathematically verified vertex coordinates that are unattainable with manual modeling, after applying the SubDivision modifier, the sphere turns out to be almost perfect (99.99% accuracy).
Ready-to-connect hemisphere: Optionally creates a Hemisphere, ready-to-bridge with a cylinder. At the same time, the correct surface topology is preserved without the distortions typical of manual modeling methods for such joints.
Precise radius control: It is possible to set the radius of the final sphere, which will be obtained after applying the SubDivision modifier. This eliminates the need for manual size adjustment and allows you to generate highly polygonal spheres and hemispheres with precise set diameters.
System requirements:
The script has been tested in Autodesk 3ds Max versions 2022-2026 running Windows 10.
Installation:
1.Place the script file in the Scripts/Startup folder of your 3ds Max installation.
Example of a path: C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max 2024\scripts\Startup
2.Restart 3ds Max.
3.After restarting, a new Holy3DSphere primitive will appear in the Command Panel -> Create -> Geometry -> Standard Primitives list.
Instructions for use:
Complete instructions for use are included in the archive with the script.

Description:
This script adds a new primitive, Holy3DSphere, to the Command Panel -> Create -> Geometry -> Standard Primitives category. It allows you to create a mathematically precise Quad Sphere, optimized for further use with subdivision modifiers (TurboSmooth/OpenSubDiv).
Key Features:
Ideal Geometry After Subdivision: Thanks to the use of mathematically calculated vertex coordinates, unattainable through manual modeling, the sphere becomes virtually perfect after applying a subdivision modifier (99.99% accuracy).
Connection-Ready Hemisphere: Optionally creates a hemisphere ready to be bridged (using the Bridge tool) with a cylinder. It maintains correct surface topology without the distortions common in manual modeling methods for such connections.
Precise Radius Control: Allows you to set the radius of the final sphere that will result after applying the subdivision modifier. This eliminates the need for manual resizing and enables the generation of high-polygon spheres and hemispheres with exact specified diameters.
