The complex figure, called the Moravian star (Herrnhuter Stern), was originally created as a visual aid on geometry in one of the German schools. However, since the beginning of the 19th century, such "stars" have become part of traditional festive decorations in Europe. Moravian star lamps are made of metal with a rich texture. A hand-made mirror glass with a golden patina is inserted into the frame.
