The Niwar Sofa (Single Seater) is part of the Niwar Collection, designed by the Switzerland-based design studio BIG-GAME for Phantom Hands. It is a cozy, cocoon-like sofa with a harder outer shell that envelops a soft, plush interior to sink into. Two different types of fabric—coarser cotton tape for the exterior and softer linen for the interior—are used to create a balanced relationship between the two textures.
The inner frame of the sofa is shaped with bent plywood and covered with cotton ‘Niwar’ tapes that are stitched together. Matching the colors of the cotton tapes to the linen fabric of the cushions is a significant achievement by our fabric partner Zanav Home, especially since they are dyed using the traditional vat dyeing technique.
The Niwar Sofa comes with an optional Ottoman, specially designed for it, and works well in residential interiors, hotels, or reception lobbies.
Compatible with 3ds Max 2023 or higher
