3ddd is not responsible for this extension. All risks associated with the use of this extension are taken on by the users.
Many people are annoyed by the long opening of the main Render Setup settings window in 3d max and the manual input of values for the frame size, and I am too!
That’s why I decided to create a script that solves this problem.
It includes the most commonly used aspect ratios for images, such as:
1:1 - square, format for renders on 3ddd (Default 1500x1500px)
21:9 - ultra-wide, cinematic
16:9 - wide, the most popular
9:16 - vertical for stories
5:4 - for printing
4:5 - portrait
4:3 - classic
3:4 - classic, vertical
3:2 - standard classic
2:3 - standard classic portrait
The script also shows the current resolution.
You can also input the resolution based on the long side, and it will adjust accordingly while maintaining the aspect ratio.
There is an option for manually entering the length and width values of the frame.
I made the script for myself, as I often have to rewrite the resolution, which takes time.
It works from 3dmax2016 to 3dmax 2024; I have not tested it on earlier versions.
The installation is standard, like all scripts or via RunScript.
Adding a button to the panel is also standard Customize User Interface.
