Seam Side Table by Nathan Martell

Family of coffee tables in raw, anodized and powder coated aluminum.
Constructed entirely from 4mm aluminium sheet, Seam uses mechanical assembly through a series of 90 degree bends and a detail with rounded edges and serrations.
Each table consists of two pairs of folded, interlocking pieces held together with four mounting screws.
Seam explores sheet metal joinery through industrial manufacturing, allowing the form of an object to express both its structure and the underlying logic of its assembly.

Renders for the preview are made in Corona Render 10. The model uses CoronaLegacyMtl. Conversion of materials to V-Ray is done using V-Ray scene converter.

Pivot is configured. XForm, there is a scan.
All models, textures and materials are named logically and in accordance with the objects.
