The USSR is space. 57 years ago, the first man flew into space - Yuri Alekseevich Gagarin immortalized not only his name and brought fame to his native country, but also opened the era of space exploration by man. At the beginning of the 60s of the last century, almost a quarter of all boys born in the Soviet Union were named after Yury, in honor of Gagarin. At that time, every boy asked: "Who do you want to become?" answered without delay: "astronaut".
In our Soviet youth, one of the favorite educational magazines was "Young Technician". Many interesting and fantastic things could be found on its pages. Some ideas are embodied in our days. One issue of the journal, published a year before Yuri Alekseevich’s flight, inspired the creation of this work.
