Suiseki
Design / Andrea Steidl, 2019

Suiseki is a collection of upholstered seating inspired, as the name suggests, by the Japanese art of laying natural stones. Spontaneous, harmonious lack of alignment replaces geometric shapes in simple modular designs with organic volumes. It all starts with three basic building blocks: a low, wide seat, a backrest and an armrest. They can be combined with each other to display height, width and depth with offset. The resulting sofas are sculptural and suitable for all types of use, from the contract market to private homes.
