The PILOT table is from the British company Steel Vintage, which produces high-end industrial furniture.
A striking example of engineering thought. Inspired by the design of a locomotive.
A pilot is a device installed at the front of a train to deflect obstacles in the track that might otherwise lead to derailment.
The base of the table is precision laser cut to 10mm mild steel. Fully welded legs and arch section are bolted together with M16 bolts for a robust construction. The wooden top has an extra “badly damaged” hole to allow you to view the carefully engineered base below. The 10 mm thick clear glass top provides a smooth and practical work surface.
