The idea is based on the fusion of tectonic experiments with material and form, whereby many parts of the same thing can form a single whole. The basic structural form – a simple wheel forged from aluminum – is divided, repeated and assembled in a poetic manner, creating an aesthetically pleasing and surprisingly comfortable chair; the backrest supports the backrest. The sand casting technique also uses a process of repetition. One hand-carved mold from wood is used to make another mold from a sand-polymer mixture, into which molten aluminum is poured. The same sand-blasted piece is applied six times to each of the chair’s legs.

The result is a combination of minimum and maximum, brutalism and glamor, sensuality and humor.
