CAPABILITIES
• Eight customizable sectors: top, bottom, left, right, front, back, perspective, orthographic User and cameras. Duplicate assignments and empty sectors are allowed.
• Two control modes: click on a sector or "hold key → aim → release." The hold mode is enabled with a separate checkbox.
• Keeping selected objects in frame: when switching from a regular view, the projection is centered and scaled to the selection. This function can be disabled. The position of cameras and their composition do not change.
• The camera list opens immediately when hovering over the "Camera" sector or clicking on it. Thumbnails help choose the desired angle.
• Search for cameras by name, scroll through a long list, mark the current camera, and switch with a single click.
• The "Refresh" button re-reads the cameras and updates the thumbnails. After releasing Space in hold mode, the list remains open for selection.
• Customizable call key or combination with Ctrl, Alt, and Shift. By default — Space. Esc and system combinations are reserved.
• Menu position: at the cursor, in the center of the projection, in four corners, or with X/Y offset.
• Diameter 200–560, proportional scaling of text and icons.
• Three color themes, custom background, highlight, and text colors; opacity 45–100%.
• Interface in Russian and English.
• Settings icon on the toolbar and gear under the circular menu.
• Preview design, save settings, and revert to default values.
• Installation, update, and removal via MZP. Auto-start with Max. Separate installation for each version of the program in the current user's profile.
Current build: View Wheel 1.1 RC2.
Tested in 3ds Max 2024.2, 2026, 2027.2 including with Corona Camera, VRayCam.
Target range: 3ds Max 2022–2027.2. Full testing of all versions is not completed.
3ds Max 2021 is not supported.
INSTALLATION
Drag the MZP into the Max window or open it via Scripting → Run Script. Select "Install." For updates, prior removal is not required — saved settings remain. To uninstall, run the same MZP and select "Uninstall."
