First generation, restyled in 2011.
Chassis L3H1 long wheelbase, low roof.
The first generation Crafter was based on the second generation Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, but with Volkswagen engines. The first generation Crafter was introduced in 2006.
In 2011, the Crafter series underwent a restyling with an update of the exterior in accordance with the style of the VW brand of that time and the replacement of power units with more modern and economical ones.
