March was a good month by the numbers — total purchases across all categories grew about 7% compared to February. The category structure stayed relatively intact at the top, but a few things shifted underneath: plants had their strongest month of the year so far, carpets took over Decoration, and Childroom posted the largest percentage gain of any category.

So, let’s get into it.

The Big Picture

Overall purchases on 3dsky grew by 7.4% compared with February. The three biggest categories (Furniture, Lighting, and Decoration) once again took 63.8% of all sales. They show up in nearly every interior project regardless of style or budget, which is why they anchor the top every month. We covered this in more detail last month.

Everything moved upward in March, except Materials, which dipped slightly, and Scripts, which held its perfectly stable share for the second month in a row.

Two things are worth flagging before we get into categories: Childroom had the strongest relative jump, up about 20% month-over-month. And Decoration is quietly closing the gap on Lighting, the difference is now under two percentage points.

Next, let's look at the categories where March actually got interesting.

Plants — the clearest seasonal signal

d48b039b14ad5860e4f3b7521176b607.webp

Plants added 10.5% in volume over February, and the mix of top models explains why. Bouquets dominated. Tulips, poppies, roses, spring arrangements — models published in late February and the first days of March converted immediately. Women's Day (March 8) brought a visible spike, and spring project prep carried demand through the rest of the month.

What's notable: four of the five top Plant models in March were published in February or March 2026. Very few categories see such a direct connection between publication date and immediate sales.

Top 5 in Plants:

  1. AV Indoor Plants Set — chemlali olive, lemon cane, dragon, snake sansevieria
  2. Indoor Plant Set 94
  3. White Tulips in Glass Vase
  4. Rose Bush
  5. Poppy and Birch Branch Bouquet

April will be a useful test: if outdoor plant models start climbing alongside indoor ones, it's a seasonal pattern worth planning around for authors in this category.

Decoration — carpets moved to the front

79a6c67f187b5e24b37abb5608620fd0.webp

In February, a curtain model led the Decoration category. In March, three carpet models landed in the overall top 10 across the entire platform — two of them from the same author (3dmitruk ). Decoration grew about 8% in total volume, but the character of the top sellers changed completely.

The month's most dramatic launch: Decorative Set 96 Vintage , published on February 28, finished as the top-purchased model across the entire site in March. Pillow Set 11 , published March 2, came in second in the category.

Two carpets from the same author in the overall top 10 (one fur, one wool) suggests intentional coverage of different buyer preferences within the same subcategory rather than a single lucky model.

Top 5 in Decoration:

  1. Decorative Set 96 Vintage
  2. Pillow Set 11
  3. Carpet-29
  4. Zara Wool Rug with Scalloped Lines
  5. Benuta Dave Rectangular Fur Rug, 3 colors

Childroom — biggest percentage growth

Childroom grew 20% in purchase volume compared to February, the largest proportional gain of any category in March. The IKEA Trofast storage-and-toys set (mahi_mir ), published in late February, led the category. Two interactive play area models from lzv_cg took second and fourth place — a consistent performer who has had multiple models in the Childroom top for several months running.

+20% is the kind of number that could be a single model making a splash or the start of a seasonal pattern. April will tell.

Top 5 in Childroom:

  1. IKEA TROFAST Furniture and Toys for Children's Room 01
  2. Children Play Area Interactive
  3. Aston Martin 1960 toy car
  4. Interactive Panel for Children's Room
  5. Kid Climbing Wall Set with Toys

Other Models — sports equipment holds its grip

Sports-related models have led Other Models every month since at least January, and March was no exception. What changed slightly is the depth of the category: five distinct sports models appear in the top 7, from Technogym pilates equipment to pickleball, alongside the restaurant equipment set that has been a category regular since November.

farmer_hrq now has three models in the category top simultaneously, each covering a slightly different segment of the fitness equipment market — cardio machines, pilates reformers, a full gym setup. The releases appear to be deliberate: each new model expands the niche rather than competing with the previous one.

The padel court model (alexsm2014 ) is worth flagging separately — published in late 2023, it keeps generating strong sales month after month and has accumulated over 500 total purchases. That's the steady-demand profile of a genuinely evergreen asset.

Top 5 in Other Models:

  1. Pent Luxury Fitness Equipment Set — Irena Curve Treadmill, Visla Rowing Machine, Hania Indoor Bike
  2. Equipment Set for Cafes and Restaurants 3
  3. Padel Court
  4. Technogym Reform Pilates Equipment
  5. Pickleball Scene with Players

Architecture — outdoor canopies in the top spots

54948bbc81bd2cc9723b177b10a7e7e6.webp

Architecture is a small category by share, but March produced an unusual pattern: three of the ten top models are outdoor canopy or shade structures. An extendable butterfly awning by 3drj led the category, followed by a stretch tent (bugurt3d ) and another awning model, also by 3drj . Whether spring project season or a niche trend, canopy and pergola-adjacent models are getting more attention than in previous months.

Top 5 in Architecture:

  1. Exteta 10th Naves Butterfly Awning
  2. Sprech Stretch Canopy Iris
  3. Tent 8
  4. Roofing Elements — 6 types of metal tile
  5. Low-poly Facade with 20 Interiors

Kitchen — appliances replaced food props at the top

78c2b72eec08848266b5b3af45a2d4f0.webp

Kitchen grew only about 1.6% in volume, but the composition of its top models tells a cleaner story than the number does. In January and February, food and drink props (buffet setups, bottle collections, snack displays) led the category. In March, kitchen appliance models took over: built-in Gaggenau appliances, a SMEG kitchen set, built-in Miele appliances, and a vintage shelf set placed in the top five. Buyers in Kitchen are showing stronger interest in the hardware of the kitchen rather than the food styling on the counter.

Top 5 in Kitchen:

  1. Vintage Kitchen Shelf Stories
  2. Kitchen Accessories 069-1
  3. Gaggenau Built-in Kitchen Appliances — Minimalistic
  4. Outdoor Food
  5. SMEG Kitchen Appliance Set

Furniture — steady at the top

f597a361b529de38276512a61c464784.webp

Furniture held its position at just under 37% of all purchases, growing about 7% in volume alongside the overall market. Wardrobe and display cabinet models continued to dominate the category top, with restereo holding multiple slots.

Three models from the same author in the top five is a pattern worth noting. Rather than spreading across subcategories, restereo has concentrated on wardrobes and display cabinets — and that focus has kept them in the Furniture top for three months running.

The main change from February: a dining table and chairs set (abdulahad_zoitov ) entered the top 5, a subcategory that hadn't placed that high recently.

Top 5 in Furniture:

  1. Wardrobe Novamobili Perry 2
  2. Bar Cabinet with Wine Bar for Restaurant and Home
  3. Poliform Set Up Island Vol. 2
  4. Ellington Oval Pedestal Dining Table and Bay Wood Chair
  5. USM Haller Modular TV Unit and Sideboard

____

That's March on 3dsky. Plants showed the clearest seasonal behavior of the year so far, the Decoration category reshuffled around carpets, and Childroom is the one to watch if the growth rate holds into April.
