Late December is a good time to take a step back and review the year. It’s been a long one, with plenty of work and projects along the way.
Here’s a look at how 2025 went on 3dsky.
What changed on 3dsky in 2025
Every year, our team keeps an eye on the model counter and tries to guess when the next round number will show up. In 2025, it finally happened — the 3dsky library passed 1,000,000 models.
Right now on the 3dsky:
- 1.1M+ models available
- 171,000+ models published in 2025
(compared to 128,000+ the year before)
The most notable updates on 3dsky in 2025
Updated author pages
Author pages now include search for an individual author’s models, following the same logic as the main catalog
Catalog and navigation updates
We added new filters to the catalog and let users follow authors to keep up with new uploads
Visual search on model pages
Model pages now include visual search by preview. It allows users to find visually similar models directly within the 3dsky catalog
Content rules updates
We clarified rules related to models created using AI
The 3dsky blog
In 2025, we added a blog on 3dsky
. We use it to share updates, explain rule changes, and give more context on how the platform works
Purchases, access, and login
We added a new page for purchasing access and subscriptions
. We also added Google sign-in and informational pop-ups to keep users up to date on important changes
Small but important improvements
Throughout the year, we made a number of smaller changes that affect everyday workflows. We added checkboxes in the cart to select specific models, let authors change the order of previews on the model edit page, and started sending notifications when a model is featured on the storefront.
In 2026, we plan to keep the same pace. As usual, updates are shared in our blog and on social media: Instagram , Facebook , X , and Pinterest.

And finally
From the entire 3dsky team, our warmest wishes. We hope 2025 brought you good projects, useful work, and a few wins along the way. And if some things didn’t go as planned, we hope the new year brings clearer paths and the opportunities you need.
Between deadlines, renders, and revisions, we hope you still find time to slow down a bit for rest, good food, long walks, and time with people you care about.
As a year-end tradition, from December 31 to January 10, 3dsky users can download 20 FREE models per day instead of the usual three.
Thanks for being with us this year.
🎄 Happy New Year and see you in the next one.
