Script for baking maps from a high-poly model to a low-poly model.

Related script for transferring texture from one model to another TexBake:
https://3dsky.org/3dmodels/show/texbake

Other scripts: https://3dsky.org/collection/shared/5514167

Installation:
Drag the script into the open 3ds Max window.
Then: Customize - Customize User Interface - Toolbars, category sofiakholina.
Drag GeoBake onto any panel.

If the script works incorrectly or you encounter an error — please report it.

How to use:
Before launching, both models must be in the scene and aligned in space:
the high-poly model with detail and the low-poly model with a clean UV layout. The scene must be saved - maps are placed next to the .max file in the GeoBake folder.

Pick High Poly - from which model to take detail
Pick Low Poly - to which model to bake
Cage push - cage thickness, automatically set when selecting models, the Auto button returns the calculated value
OpenGL or DirectX, direction of the green channel
Bake with High Poly normal - mix the normal map from the Bump slot
of the high-poly model, so that fine relief lies on top of the large shape
UV channel - leave 1 if the UV layout is in the first channel; the script will indicate which channels have UV
Padding px - how much color stretches beyond the islands
AO distance - radius for searching occluding surfaces, automatically set (15% of the diagonal of the high-poly)
Rays - number of rays per vertex for AO and Thickness
Map size - resolution of maps
Format - png 16 bit, tif 16 bit, tga 8 bit
Bake - bake, transfer texture

Clear only resets selected objects, settings remain.

Files are saved in the GeoBake folder next to the .max file, with suffixes
"_normal", "_displacement", "_ao", "_curvature", "_thickness", "_id". Nothing is overwritten - repeated runs give _1, _2, and so on.

Designed for 3ds Max 2010 and newer.
