An OpenSubdiv modifier is applied to the objects during rendering (geometry for smoothing). To prevent the material from stretching at the seams (no pulls), OpenSubdiv Controls -> UV Boundary -> Smooth (Edge only) is applied; iterations are adjusted through General Controls -> Iterations, Isoline Display isolates the geometry during smoothing.
Turbosmooth can also be applied, but pulls may appear at the seams on the unwraps. Adjust the level of smoothing as needed through Main -> Iterations. The Isoline Display checkbox isolates the geometry during smoothing.
