The Takamine GN11MCE NS G-Series is a six-string single-cutaway acoustic-electric guitar designed for steel strings. The instrument's NEX-shaped body imparts a silky, balanced tone, making it ideal for accompanying vocalists. Mahogany is used for the top, sides, and back. The top features a decorative inlay of black and white plies along the edge, while the top and back are finished with black binding.

The 21-fret fingerboard and bridge are crafted from Indian laurel. The instrument has a 644mm scale length and a 42.5mm nut width. For connecting to an amplifier or PA mixer, the guitar is equipped with a Takamine TP4T pickup. A black plastic pickguard, located under the rosette, protects the body from accidental pick strikes. The instrument is finished in Natural Satin.
