An add-on designed for quick scene preparation for rendering and convenient setup management. It saves time and flexibly adapts to any project.

The first and foremost: with the click of a button in RenderDeck, you will gather all the cameras from the scene and create ready setups, which will automatically be categorized based on the camera names. The setups are immediately ready for rendering, meaning you will need about 5 seconds to start all your cameras or part of them for calculation, considering that you haven't made any settings or batch rendering yet. And all of this works for those who render through camera animation!

RenderDeck 1.0.4

New:

Script settings are now stored directly inside the .max file itself, meaning a separate working file is no longer created in your project folder.

The Renumber button now updates the numbering in file names after using the Move function, ensuring all setups remain in sequential order in the list. This button only becomes active once the order has been changed.

The Move button now displays a logical icon instead of text.

For resolution swapping, the width and height toggle button now shows W/H or H/W depending on the setup's orientation.

The settings menu has been slightly reorganized for better ergonomics.

Duplicated setups are now automatically selected upon creation so you can spot them right away. Additionally, the "Duplicate after selected setup" option is now enabled by default, so the copy appears immediately after the original.

The Name column is hidden by default, but you can bring it back in the Settings.

A 16-step interactive Guide has been added to RenderDeck.
It opens automatically on the first run, and you can replay it anytime via Settings → Show guide.
The guide is available in English, Ukrainian, and Russian. If your setup list is empty, the guide will temporarily load example setups and automatically remove them once you finish.

Fixed:

Auto-grouping has been improved so that cameras with numbers now form independent groups. For instance, "Bedroom" and "Bedroom 3" will no longer merge into a single common group when multiple cameras are present.

File names manually typed into the File column are no longer reset after using the Update All Cameras function.

Clicking on a camera icon while the Move mode is active will now turn off the Move mode and select the camera instead.

RenderDeck 1.0.3

New

The column header is now a switch: CAM selects cameras, and TGT selects camera targets (a marker is shown only on cameras that have one).

Fixed

Setup colors no longer disappear after restarting 3ds Max (the Color +/− switch state wasn't saved, so colors weren't drawn, though scene data was never lost).

The render status info bar no longer stops working after switching renderers (e.g., from Corona to Arnold).

Changed

Clicking a camera name in the Camera column no longer selects that camera in the scene — this is now done by clicking the icon.

RenderDeck 1.0.2

This update brings several workflow improvements and important bug fixes.

New

Format column: File extensions are now separated from the File column.

Layers/Materials to Setup: The workflow has been updated with improved sequencing and display in the setup. It now uses a two-step flow (a hollow circle for the first click, and a solid circle for the second). A step-by-step instruction guide has also been added right next to the button.

Selection: "Keep setups selected after a change" added to Settings (on by default; click empty space to clear).

Numbering: Added file-name numbering options (01, 02, 03 or 010, 020, 030).

Telegram: Added a "Send renders to Telegram" switch directly in Settings (no need to open the profile).

Version info: Version number is now displayed in Settings.

Batch export: Added a warning before overwriting a non-empty Batch Render list.

Easter egg: The Pascalka unlock now opens in its own window.

Fixed

"Add All Cameras" skipped identically named cameras; now correctly matches by camera handle.

Group strip UI bugs (misplaced right arrow, wrong capacity) on 125% scaled displays.

Clicking a group no longer scrolls the strip back to the start.

Render status no longer stops updating mid-session.

Camera dropdown now correctly follows the selected setup.

"Name from camera" no longer re-applies itself to setups created via Add All Cameras.

Changed

Render elements now always save as PNG.

RenderDeck 1.0.1

"Lite" mode has been improved
"Color+" now works even after creating setups

RenderDeck 1.0.0

Main features:

Automatic setup creation:
creating setups from all cameras in the scene — in any quantity — in just a few seconds.

Viewport display:
when clicking on any setup in the viewport, the view from the corresponding camera is immediately displayed. This function can be disabled.

Quick camera selection:
when clicking in the camera column, the desired camera is immediately highlighted in the scene.

Convenient sorting:
easy rearrangement of setups in the list.

Camera grouping:
convenient work with camera groups, for example, related to one room, without distraction from others. Ability to create custom groups and assign them colors.

Camera direction:
an arrow is displayed in front of each camera, showing the camera direction from the top view.

Prefix setup:
the ability to add a common prefix to all saved setups — for example, the project name at the beginning of the name.

Working with options:
when the options function is enabled, duplicating one or several setups retains their base number and automatically adds the new option number. For example: ... - 01 - OPT 1, then ... - 01 - OPT 2.

Status bar:
information about both the current rendering process and the ready setups is displayed at the bottom of the interface.

Smart manual addition:
when manually creating setups, cameras are automatically selected in order — without the need to expand the list each time.

Quick settings:
convenient selection of render format and image resolution.

Export: integration with Batch Render, Pulze, and RenderFlow.

The script also hides an Easter egg — a secret functionality that will not affect the main operation. Hint: the principle of the riddle is similar to an Easter egg in Android OS.
