Designer and artist Elena Salmistraro draws inspiration from the historical period between the 1940s and 1960s. In those years, the world was a victim of the Cold War and was afraid of an imminent nuclear catastrophe, but despite the terrible climate, the public found the strength to imagine a better future .
Bold and graphic forms associated with the fear of the atom were constantly repeated in the artistic expression of that time as a symbol of the common will to change the fate of people and conquer the all-consuming sense of fear.
The New Atomic Age Collection by Elena Salmistraro reflects this. neo-tribal and post-atomic symbols through precious inlays and innovative resin carvings on marble surfaces
