The console can be used as a functional or purely decorative element.

The main advantage of the console as a decorative element is its compactness. It can be used to decorate a narrow corridor, a small partition wall, or a shallow niche.

The decor in this case is both the console itself and its "frame". Table lamps, vases, photo frames, candles, candlesticks, flower bouquets, figurines, table clocks are placed on the tabletop. A mirror, painting, clock or photo gallery is hung above the console. Ottomans, wicker boxes or floor vases are placed under the console. As a result, the console table turns into a kind of art object that can transform any nondescript area.
