The Sid Chair is an item inspired by one of the main characters from the famous Ice Age cartoon, the sloth named Sid. The image of the object was formed during the study of the ergonomics of the chair. Drawing the shape of the armrest in relation to the back, Sergei Gravchikov drew attention to how strongly the image of the object resembles a well-known hero. This is how the image was born and the idea arose to develop it and focus attention on it.

The love for opposition and contrast can often be seen in UNIKA objects, and the Sid chair is no exception. Thin and graceful metal legs, often associated with coldness and inaccessibility, contrast with the soft and curvy shape of the seat, adding warmth and coziness to the image.

Interpretations of the character's character and his external features are expressed in recognizable elements. The shape of the armrests, which flow into the backrest and the tapering supports, directly refer to the image of the character: and the soft “gloves” enhance it, adding a friendly and slightly naive character, inviting everyone to a cozy break from the everyday hustle and bustle.
