An example of a minimalist approach to design is the elegant Vanderbilt pendant lamp from Kuzco Lighting. The aluminum piece is suspended from a fabric rope. The aluminum lampshade lights up gently, partially revealing the matte white interior walls. The shade and base of the piece are visually constrained by a sharp gold ring accent. Its uncomplicated modern design looks great over dining tables and kitchen islands.
